About Us

The Department of Science is one of the first departments of St Xavier’s College, Jaipur. It has a strong lineage to science education in the state of Rajasthan. It also has a robust foundation developed under the pioneering guidance of renowned and experienced Jesuit Fathers who firmly believe in establishing a strong foundation for academics, research aptitude, and holistic growth of our young minds. Since 2015, the Department has been following the University of Rajasthan (UOR) curriculum at undergraduate level. It offers pass courses in subjects like Botany, Zoology, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Statistics, Geography and Economics. The teaching faculty is dedicated towards imparting quality education to students, supplementing with innovative methods of teaching and guidance by laboratory experiments. Scientific temper and research innovations are the main strengths of the Department.
